What if every child had a space to build their future—with their own hands?
At edm8ker, we’re not just designing rooms—we’re shaping mindsets. Since 2011, our work has empowered educators across Singapore, India, the U.S., and 30+ countries to spark lifelong learning through spaces that make making possible.
We believe makerspaces aren’t defined by 3D printers or fancy gadgets. They’re defined by intent. By joy. By a school community’s shared commitment to curiosity and craft.
And with every school we partner with, we ask: What future are you making possible for your learners?
The edm8ker Blueprint: More Than a Room—A Culture of Making
Our approach is grounded in our five-part framework, developed from our years of experience with educators around the world:
✔️ INTENT: What values drive your school? How can maker education support them—from SDGs to digital fluency?
✔️ PEOPLE: Who’s involved? From teachers and students to CCAs, at-risk youth, and even parents—our designs are inclusive by default.
✔️ SPACE: From high-traffic hallways in Singapore to community centers in Boston, we reimagine spaces to enable focus, sharing, showcasing, and safe making.
✔️ ACTIVITY: We help you design low-floor, high-ceiling activities (thanks, Mitch Resnick!) that support diverse pathways—from computational thinking to craftwork.
✔️ TOOLS: From Makey Makey kits to upcycled cardboard—your tools match your learners and goals, not the other way around.
Co-Design in Action: Learning from the Learners
We don’t just design for schools—we co-create with them.
- Workshops with teachers to plan layouts, routines, and activities that actually work in their context.
- Ideation sessions with students to build ownership, creativity, and confidence in the space.
- Training sessions for educators to integrate maker mindsets into day-to-day learning—not as a “special add-on,” but as a natural extension of teaching.
We bring design thinking and open sharing into every step. Our goal? To create a culture where every learner—regardless of ability or background—can make, lead, and thrive.
Making Impact, Not Just Spaces
At edm8ker, we believe a makerspace isn’t just about where students create—it’s about why and how they create. Real transformation happens when space, purpose, and pedagogy align.
Here’s how that vision comes to life in real-world classrooms:
🇸🇬 Fuhua Primary School, Singapore
What was once a standard classroom tucked near the canteen is now an inviting, high-traffic makerspace—complete with student-made furniture, sustainability murals, and upcycled installations. The result? Spontaneous student visits and curiosity-fueled projects outside regular lessons.
🇺🇸 Elizabeth Peabody House, Boston
In a compact, under-resourced after-school setting, educators partnered with edm8ker to outfit a middle school makerspace mixing both digital and analog tools—from micro:bits to cardboard. The space became a launchpad for hands-on learning tailored to the local community’s needs.
🇸🇬 Commonwealth Secondary School, Singapore
This former D&T lab is now a fully functional innovation hub—with dedicated zones for ideation, independent making, and student project showcases. It’s become a springboard for futures thinking, climate action, and student-led changemaking.

Why This Matters More Than Ever
In a world that’s asking young people to be adaptive, inventive, and empathetic, we believe schools need more than devices and whiteboards—they need cultures of making.
At edm8ker, we’re here to co-build that future. With you. For your learners.
So whether you're in a U.S. charter exploring STEM, or a Singapore school scaling ALP and SEL—we’ll meet you where you are and help grow a space where students don’t just learn about the future.
They create it.
